The artist-run exhibition space Toves Galleri – Vesterbro Contemporary Workout Space was situated in and named after the shopping arcade Toves Galleri, named after renowned author and ghetto girl Tove Ditlevsen (1917-76). Behind glass walls, amongst busy shoppers and with a pounding soundtrack from a fitness center next door, Toves Galleri is inevitably site-specific.
